Frequently
asked questions (updated weekly)
Will I need
special cabling or re-wire my home? No, the switches and plug-points will simply replace your existing
switch or plug-point. You do NOT need a neutral as previously
anticipated. So replacing your existing light switch should take
less than 5 minutes.
What range will be
available?
Please check
out the products page for the latest
updates.
Will they be
available in my country? Probably, we intend to cater for the majority of the world market
including 110V and 230V.
Will they
work if there is no electricty?
They will return to their previous
state once electricity is restored.
Are there
different sizes to match my country's wall box?
Yes there will be different sizes available on the launch, details
of which will be given to wholesalers
ahead of the launch.
Can I do it
myself?
Yes you could, if the law in your country allows it.
Is the switch
available in different colours?
Yes, each Revolution switch will have both a black and white
toughened glass cover-plate to match your particular home. The Cu3e
range is available in either black or white.
Are the lights
remote controlled? Yes,
we have decided to launch with an RF remote included for the
Revolution Range and Cu3e Range. So control of
lighting can be done from other rooms - without the need of
"line-of-sight".
Is there a
time-delay closing option? Yes we will have a time delay switch available for order.
How many
circuits of lighting can be controlled per switch? They are initially available in 1,2 or 3 gang.
A 1,2,3 and 4 gang keypad to control lighting modules will also be
available.
What colour
LED backlight is available?
Initially : Blue when on and amber when
off for the Revolution Range
Blue when off and blank when on in the CU3E range.
Are they
going to be expensive? No, they will be as affordable as possible without compromising
quality and style. We are anticipating a retail price of just over
R500 per switch for the revolution and just over R600 for the Cu3e
range.
Why would I
take all the existing switches and plug-points that I've already
bought, out of my home?
Firstly the switches are touch sensitive, so wrestling with a rocker
is a thing of the past. Secondly the switches have no moving parts
and are therefore less susceptible to failure. And
thirdly the style that the accessories will add to your home will be
well worth the small investment.
Will you have
power and dimmer options available? Yes,
please check the specification sheets for each range to see the load
capacities.
